I had booked a vacation to favourite European haunts catching up with friends and whanau along the way. On the would be day of my departure I found my self staring out of my living room window at a grey melancholia that matched my mood. I picked up the first thing to hand (an empty Citalopram packet) which I broke open and flattened, sat down and began to draw the scene outside. And so was born the first in a series of drawings which I came to call 'The Covid Series'
